Typically found in Nepal and Tibet, Mani Stones refer to stone plates, rocks, and pebbles that are inscribed with mantras or devotional script and can be found placed along paths and river edges. Sometimes many of these stones are used to form a mound or wall.
This design is based on an actual Tibetan Mani Stone and contains Tibetan script that refers to the six syllabled mantra of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezik in Tibet), the bodhisattva who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas.
